The AFM2408TL operates with an internal 1,470 Hz generator that injects alternating current into the ground via an auxiliary electrode in order to accurately measure earth resistance. The test current is automatically regulated to ensure stable and reproducible measurements. Its active and passive filter system offers high immunity to electrical interference and parasitic voltages, which are frequently encountered in urban areas or near electrical substations.
With an extended measurement range from 0.01 Ω to 20 kΩ, this earth tester allows reliable testing on all types of soil, including those with high resistivity. It is also suitable for analysing soil stratification for the optimisation of complex earthing systems.
Designed for intensive field use, its robust IP65-certified housing (with the cover closed) guarantees reliable operation in extreme climatic conditions, in cold, tropical or high mountain areas.
